UPNEEQ® is an FDA-approved prescription of oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution (0.1%) in an eye drop that temporarily improves droopy eyelids by revitalizing tired-looking eyes. Droopy eyelids are caused by the upper eyelid muscle stretching over time and due to age. Droopy eyelids can also be caused by cataract surgery, wearing contact lenses, or underlying medical conditions. There is some concern that artificial eyelashes can also cause droopy eyelids.

The Muller’s muscle or the muscle that holds up the upper eyelid can be stimulated by UPNEEQ® which triggers the muscle to work, and the upper eyelid raises. UPNEEQ® can work in 15 minutes or less in some instances, but in clinical trials 74% of patients noticed some improvement within two hours. With UPNEEQ®, there is no surgery and no downtime. Just brighter, well-rested eyes.
UPNEEQ® comes in a single application and is used only one drop per day per eye.
Your healthcare provider may caution you not to use UPNEEQ® if you have uncontrolled high or low blood pressure or feel dizzy when quickly standing up.
Patients who often have eye or mouth dryness due to immune system disorders should be careful when taking UPNEEQ®. When using UPNEEQ®, do not allow the tip of the vial to touch your eye or any other surface. Each vial is for one-time use only and needs to be thrown away after applying.
